A group of 35 students of the 7ABC classes went on a language trip to Worthing, England, from June 1 to June 7 2023. Apart from traditional British weather (there was not a single drop of rain!), we experienced various aspects of the country’s culture, ranging from Fish and Chips to afternoon tea. We made lots of contact with locals, not only during our stays at our host families, but also when we strolled through the town of Worthing where at one point our teachers challenged us to trade a paperclip for something more valuable – the winners of the challenge ended up with a tie and a tutu.
Our activity trackers registered countless steps on our visits to the vibrant city of Brighton during pride month and to the iconic city of London. Our activities included a more-than-scary visit to the London Dungeon, the attendance of the light-spirited musical “Mamma Mia” in London’s West End and a boat cruise on the river Thames, passing the most famous sights of the city.
Even train strikes and cancellations couldn’t spoil the great fun we had on our trip to England!
