In the course “Deep Dive – Culture & Countries,” we will explore the diversity of English-speaking cultures. Do Australians really say “mate” all the time? Do all people in England truly stand patiently in line? And are Americans really the world leaders in fast food consumption?
We will delve into countries, traditions, lifestyles, and unique aspects of various English-speaking regions around the world. Using authentic materials such as videos, graphics, podcasts, or even virtual encounters with locals, we will experience these cultures up close. This allows us to challenge stereotypes and uncover hidden aspects at the same time.
We will also examine the political systems, the history of these countries, and the situation of their societies. Sources like late-night shows, newspaper articles, or political podcasts can serve as the starting points of our exploration. Let’s dive in!
