On Wednesday, May 18, our English group (4B/Sj) had a workshop with British actor and director Glenn Tillin. In the morning we met up in the „Museum Arbeitswelt“ and worked for several hours on two slapstick versions of Shakespeare’s plays „Macbeth“ and „Pyramus and Thisbe“. First we did some theatre worm-up activities which Glenn normally does with his professional adult crew in London. Finally, we worked on the plays and with the great help of Glenn Tillin we were able to flawlessly perform the play in front of the 4B ladies. The two plays were full of action, drama, romance and comedy. The intense sword fight, for example, in combination with great acting left the audience speechless.
Thanks, Glenn! We have really enjoyed the day!
